18 Photos That Will Make You Want To Visit Lagos, Portugal

Portugal is pretty popular among Europeans when it comes to summer getaways. The famous Algarve, along Portugal’s southern coast, boasts some of the best and most popular beaches in the entire continent. In fact, the area is so popular with tourists that the Algarve town of Albufeira has been nicknamed ‘Little Britain’, because of the staggering amount of British holiday makers there every summer. However, I feel that one town along the coast doesn’t receive enough recognition, Lagos.

Lagos boasts some of the most beautiful beaches and coastal landscapes in all of the Algarve. Not only are the beaches perfect for a summer getaway, but they are also incredibly picturesque because of the stunning cliff faces that surround. Hiking along the coastal trails is an incredible experience, one that I would highly recommend. From the trails you can watch the green and blue waters break against the intricate cliff faces. Here are some of my favourite photos from Lagos.
